I don't want to travel to the future

I'm not really sure if I would like to travel to the future sincerely, I think this could be very depressing if as humanity we continue on this course or if, on the contrary, everything has changed for the better that would ruin my surprise. I would prefer, in fact, to travel back in time since it causes me much more curiosity and I think I could understand certain things that today do not make much sense to me. In any case, I do not know how possible time travel is, but if it were proven that it is possible, I think it is something that for safety should not be experienced.

In fact, perhaps I am not so excited about the trip to the future because simply scientific advances and "progress" do not give me any sense of optimism, unless the new technologies are in essential fields such as medicine and of equal access. If not, I simply find them unnecessary. I hope that in the future there will be better and more accessible cancer treatments instead of flying cars, although I must admit that would still be fun.

I honestly think I'd rather stay in the present and watch things change little by little than give me a spoiler that could either take away all hope, or take away all possible gratitude in case things improve.
