My Future Job

I would like to work as a social anthropologist specializing in socio-environmental problems, focused on conflicts caused by the installation of extractive mining companies. Therefore, I would like this work, and should be done, on the outdoors in the middle of the territories in conflict to be able to work together with the local communities.
I live in Santiago and the vast majority of these types of conflicts caused by extractivism take place outside the region, and a large part of them are located in the northern part of the country, so I would have to travel frequently to carry out this I work and that motivates me a lot. I am sure that they will be great experiences and I hope to help with them.
All this interests me now for now that I am studying anthropology with a specialty in social anthropology. Regarding salary, there are many memes and it is classic to make fun that anthropologists do not receive a very good salary in their jobs, but this is rather an exaggeration I think, at least when compared to the average salary in Chile. However, it is also true that it is not large and it is not a career that one studies to become rich. Anyway, I would like, later, to study some kind of postgraduate degree either in Brazil or Mexico due to the quality of their schools of social sciences, even though I do not close myself to the possibility of doing it here as well.
Hi, it is admirable that you are interested in working on the conflicts such as those caused by mining in our country, as it has historically affected our inhabitants an the environment.
